Sharp Practise are a classic rock band but not an over the top screaming yelling rock n' roll monster, this is the sound of a band who like to keep things quiet and wouldn't say no to an acoustic set, but not tonight: tonight they wanna rock. And rock they do. The kind of thing Neil Finn has made his trademark over the years with dramatic Who-style powerchords and furious discoid drumming - recalls INXS before they went crap and got bloated. Urgent, in a word. Clearly, this is a band that, like our antipodean pop-rocking cousins, isn't afraid of the three M's: Musicianship, Mateship and Mellifluousness. New CD Radiocity is essentially an album about travel - in both the literal and emotional sense - and is a pure delight in a music world where style is often preferable to substance. The production job is one of exceptional quality as well. There's a strong sense of universality and relatability on here which draws you in, like listening to 'Cats in the Cradle' with your dad, or travelling through a foreign country on your own (particularly Down Under!) with a smile on your face and the sun on your back. This should go down well with fans of the Counting Crows and Big Country. Already featured on www.kweevak.com, with radio airplay across the globe including US college, Australian indie networks and numerous internet stations. Over 200,000 copies of Sharp Practise's music were distributed in France in late 2005. Radiocity was released under licence to Whiterock Records in Germany on 10 January 2006. On the back of its debut album the band had: - magazine coverage and playlisting in the UK, USA, Japan, Australia, France, Denmark, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Portugal and Argentina - 'Eve Got Adam' featured on the 'Rock For Athletes' compilation album for the Fila chain of sportswear stores - winner of a Viewer's Choice Award on Kweevak's Music Portal - 'It's Alright' from Hiya featured on a DVD starring Japanese TV star Chieko Mistui - an appearance on Ground Zero TV, Australia's leading music TV show - profiled on LateNiteTV in Los Angeles - digital distribution through Rhapsody, MusicMatch, BuyMusic, Apple iTunes, Music Store, MusicNet, Emusic and AudioLunchbox. The band toured Britain in May/June 2005 and played everywhere from London to Glasgow, including a wild night in Rhyl when Liverpool won the Champions League soccer final. Highlights were the show at the Cavern Club and the last night, a hometown HMV showcase in Manchester.

NEW YORK, N.Y. ? In the pantheon of blues, Howlin? Wolf was in a category of his own. At 6?3? and 275 pounds, he had a voice that resonated with menace ? not every bluesman could make a song like ?I Asked Her for Water (She Brought Me Gasoline)? convincing.
