Mountain dance band Conjugical Visitors performs bluegrass, jazz, old-time country and jug/folk music at 8 p.m. today (Friday) at Cafe Mundo in Newport.

The Cotillion Dance Club met Nov. 4 at the Austin Country Club for the second dinner dance of the season. Music was provided by Memories. The club is made up of members from Austin, Albert Lea, Rochester and the surrounding area and meets six times each year.

The Laya Music and Dance Theatre students excel in bharatanatyam, kathak and kuchipudi.
