A native of Cartagena, Colombia, Carmen immigrated to the United States at the age of two. Although she was raised and educated in the US, she has maintained strong ties to her ethnic roots. Her strong interest in entertainment was evident from the beginning. She would always take center stage at family and religious gatherings. Her bicultural rearing has clearly shaped her diverse musical interest. She is equally comfortable with Latin based musical styles, R&B Neosoul and pop. She has had the pleasure of working with established music producers in many styles and so her musical style is a fusion of her many musical paths. Her professional career began with Miami based producers. Over the past ten years she has been involved with various high profile groups: Fade to Black, Mimosa ( managed by Frank Diaz and Luis Martinee, which also managed the 80s superstar group- EXPOSE. Mimosa released a cd single called Shake Your Body at Specs Music/Coconut Grove.) and N-Fuzzion (they performed on Univisions top rated shows: Marta Susana, Despierta America, Caliente, Control, Desayuno Alegre, Escandalo TV. She has worked with noted producers: Carlos Paez- Comedian/songwriter AJ Alexander, who has worked with Usher- Jairo Martinez, Shakiras ex-manager- Daniel Betancourt, music writer for such Latin artists as Cristian Castro through Kike Santander Productions- Tony Mardini of Crescent Moons Studios and Oscar Llord and has performed jingles for Univision/Telefutura/Galavision. She has performed in the classic broadway play- ANNIE, where she expressed her talents in acting, dancing and singing. Carmen has studied many dance styles including Jazz, hip hop, tap and ballet. This background gives her a commanding and potent stage presence. In addition to being a personal trainer for I.S.S.A, she has a deep interest in health and fitness and certainly has the body and stamina to prove it. In a word... She is the total package! We are confident that this latest effort with Armaan Media producers David Armaan and Alex Ledvin constitutes a bold step in her career.
